The beach of Punta Molentis is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and it amazes everyone who visits it. It is a beach of wonderful turquoise waters and fine white sand.

You just have to see this spectacular video of Sardenga dal Cielo

Its name comes from the donkeys (su molenti) that were used for the work of load in the extraction of the granite of the zone.

Today it is part of the marine protected area of Capo Carbonara and its location avoids the winds and currents, often annoying for bathing in other nearby beaches. So it is ideal to visit it any day and snorkel in its waters.
It has a very peculiar shape in the form of a small peninsula which allows taking some splendid photos to the lovers of photography, since it has a small promontory at its tip where the boats take refuge in a small quay almost improvised. Another of its attractions is that it has a nurague located right at the entrance to the beach.

The beach is not very popular (another advantage) and has no services, but has a single restaurant where we can taste fresh fish.

Punta Molentis situates on the Cagliari road between Villasimius and Costa Rei. Before you had to have patience to get to the beach and travel along the coastal road, but currently, the new highway between Cagliari and Castiadas is available, and from Cagliari it will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
